Courses From Other Regionally Accredited Colleges and Universities

Courses must be completed at colleges or universities licensed or accredited as institutions of higher education in the State of Connecticut, or at out-of-state institutions regionally accredited at the time the course is completed. The age of the credits does not affect their transferability, although there is a time limit on applicability of courses in some concentrations. Credits from non-regionally accredited institutions may be validated through our portfolio assessment process or through standardized testing, if available and appropriate.

NOTE: Many vocational, technical and/or business/secretarial schools are not licensed or accredited as institutions of higher learning; therefore, their 'credits' may not be accepted.
