The Connecticut Articulation Plan requires LPNs articulating to an RN program to take a 4-credit Bridge Course (a 3-credit online course and a 1-credit nursing school practicum). In conjunction with Charter Oak State College, the Connecticut League for Nursing offers the 3-credit online LPN to RN Articulation Bridge Course.

To be eligible to participate students must:

• be enrolled in an Associate degree or diploma nursing program in Connecticut;
• be recommended by their school/program; and
• have completed the other requirements of the first year of the program.

Course Registration

Only students who are eligible according to the CLN may register for the LPN to RN Bridge Course. If you are eligible, you may register by visiting the Course Registration page, selecting "Nursing", clicking on the Search button, and then clicking on the course from the list. Please Note: participants do not need to apply to Charter Oak State College.

The next course will be held January 8th - March 17th, 2007. The cost is $165 per credit plus $40 registration fee for CT residents and $235 per credit plus a $40 registration fee for non-residents.

Upon completion of the 3-credit online Bridge Course, the 1-credit school-based course is taken at your community college or nursing program.
