Student Financial Aid

Charter Oak State College recognizes that a college degree is an investment in your future and we are committed to helping you achieve your educational goals.

Financial aid is being affected by sequestration. Learn about the effects of sequestration on certain programs.

Charter Oak State College offers a variety of financial aid programs in the form of grants, fee-awards, and loans to eligible students. The amount and type of assistance for most programs will be dependent on your financial need, enrollment plans, as well as federal, state and institutional allocations of annual funds, and expected family contribution (EFC).

Financial aid does not cover the admissions application fee, late fees, non-credit courses, CLEP/Dantes testing, transcript fees, portfolio assessment fees or certificate program costs.

While federal student aid will be awarded to all eligible students on a continuous basis during the academic year, our priority consideration dates are:

  • Spring '13 Financial Aid Applicants:  Your file needs to be completed by December 15th for priority consideration.
  • Summer '13 Financial Aid Applicants:  TBA
