Option 1 - Military Partnership Program (MPP) (Servicemembers only)

The Military Partnership Program is designed for active duty servicemembers, guardsmen and military reservists who intend to complete their degrees with credit earned from Charter Oak State College distance learning courses. Students participating in this program will pay no academic services fee and commit to enrolling in in at least 6 Charter Oak State College distance learning courses (18 credits). A minimum of 3 credit hours must be completed in a 12 month period to remain eligible for the program.

If using Tuition Assistance, your TA must be on file prior to course registration.

Students who meet the credit requirement will continue to remain acive for a second year in this program.

Option 2 - Matriculation Only (Servicemembers & spouses)

If you or your spouse plan to complete your degree by earning credit through sources other than Charter Oak State College or earn fewer than 18 Charter Oak credits, this approach is the better option. There are several options in earning additional credit including traditional or distance learning courses taken at other regionally accredited colleges and universities, standardized testing, and other ACE/PONSI credit recommended non-collegiate programs. Students pay tuition and fees directly to the institution where the credit is earned.

The academic services fee covers the following:

• The first year of academic advising
• Evaluation and recording of transfer credit

Students requiring more than 12 months to complete their degree will pay a $510 Renewal Fee.
