Charter Oak State College offers reduced tuition for military servicemembers and their spouses. There are two convenient options:

Option 1 - Military Partnership Program (MPP)

The Military Partnership Program is designed for active duty servicemembers and their spouses interested in completing their degrees with credit earned from Charter Oak State College distance learning courses. Students have the option to renew for a second year in this program if all degree requirements are not met during the first year of matriculation.

The Military Partnership Program (MPP) cost covers the following:

• Tuition and registration fee for 6 credits at the associate level or 12 credits at the baccalaureate level in the first 12 month period.
  
• The first year of academic advising
  
• Evaluation and recording of transfer credit
  

Associate Degree Candidates Pay:

Students interested in taking more than the minimum number of credits prescribed above may do so for a cost of $210 per credit hour.

Option 2 - Matriculation Only

If you or your spouse plan to complete your degree by earning credit through sources other than Charter Oak State College, this approach is the better option. There are several options in earning additional credit including traditional or distance learning courses taken at other regionally accredited colleges and universities, standardized testing, and other ACE/PONSI credit recommended non-collegiate programs. Students pay tuition and fees directly to the institution where the credit is earned.

The matriculation fee covers the following:

• The first year of academic advising
  
• Evaluation and recording of transfer credit

NOTE: CGI/ESC Candidates receive 10% reduction in cost.

Students requiring more than 12 months to complete their degree will pay a $460 Renewal Fee.

The total cost of the degree program at Charter Oak depends upon the number of credits remaining, how the credits are earned and the length of time it takes to complete the program.
