Founded in 1973, Charter Oak State College is regionally accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the Connecticut Board of Governors for Higher Education.

First Year Students
The Academic Services Fee covers the first year of academic advisement, an official evaluation of your records and maintaining your transcript for the first year. For bachelor's degree students, it also covers counseling and guidance in the development of your plan of study.
Students Continuing Beyond One Year
Academic Services Renewal
If you do not complete your degree within the first year, you will be billed annually for this fee. It covers continued academic counseling, adding courses to your record, and the student activity and technology fees.

Nonresident: $715
Graduation Fee: $205
The graduation fee covers faculty evaluation and validation of your academic record. Degrees are awarded six times per year.
We accept up to 90 credits from accredited two-year colleges and there is no age-limit on the acceptance of credits.
The above information represents the majority of fees but does not include every program or service offered (e.g. CLEP, DANTES testing, military fees, etc.) All fees are non-refundable. Fees on this page reflect FY10 pricing.

Student Financial Aid
Charter Oak State College offers a variety of financial aid programs in the form of grants, fee-awards, and loans to eligible students. The amount and type of assistance for most programs will be dependent on your financial need, enrollment plans, as well as federal, state and institutional allocations of annual funds, and expected family contribution (EFC).
