Connecticut Directors' Credential
Through a unique collaboration between Charter Oak State College, Connecticut Charts-A-Course, the Department of Social Services, and the Hartford Area Child
Care Collaborative, a conceptual framework for a Connecticut Directors'
Credential has been developed. The Connecticut Directors' Credential
(CDC) seeks to provide individuals a voluntary system of credentialing with
four levels of proficiency issued through Charter Oak State College.
The Directors'
Credential will be awarded to those who have successfully met all the requirements
necessary to obtain the credential at each level. The Credential will acknowledge
that as a professional working in the field of early care and education, you
have obtained knowledge and competencies in the Connecticut Core Areas of Knowledge
for Directors.
