Financial Aid Cost of Attendance Budgets for Full-Time Independent Students - 2016-2017 Award Year Estimated Costs
Knowing the cost of attendance can help financial aid students budget and better plan for the financing of their education.
Financial aid cost of attendance budgets are annual estimates based on what it might cost a student to attend Charter Oak State College for an entire academic year (fall and spring semesters). Students are assigned a financial aid budget based on their estimated cost of attendance. This is used to determine the maximum amount of financial aid that a student is eligible to receive. These are only estimates and total costs for attending COSC may vary depending on actual enrollment and lifestyle cost (for indirect costs).
The following is a list of annual estimated cost of attendance budgets for both new full-time in-state and out-of-state students who are independent students. A full-time undergraduate student is one who is enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits hours per semester. A student is considered to be a part-time student if registered for fewer than 12 credits hours per semester.
