Hazard Mitigation Plan Forum Feb. 18
Charter Oak State College officials will join with Central Connecticut State University officials on Wednesday, February 18 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. to discuss the development of a hazard mitigation plan. The public forum will take place in Alumni Hall of the Student Center on the campus of Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, CT. Students, faculty, staff and members of the public are invited to attend.
The forum will discuss the development of the plan, the work that has been completed to date and will highlight some of the hazards that could present the greatest risks to campus operations. This plan will contribute to a Multi-Campus Hazard Mitigation plan that will include ConnSCU's four state universities, 12 community colleges, and Charter Oak State College.
A brief presentation will be given and members of the planning committee will be available to answer questions and listen to community and stakeholder concerns.
The project is being funded by a grant allocated by the Connecticut Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security and funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
