Are you a recent graduate of a Connecticut community college? Do you want to pursue your bachelor’s degree? Do you need a cost-effective and efficient way to do it? Our Connecticut Community College Tuition Match Scholarship Program may be your answer!
Charter Oak State College will provide the last two years of a bachelor’s degree to graduates of Associate degree programs at the Connecticut Community College tuition and fee rates in effect for that year.
In order to qualify for the scholarship, students need to meet the following requirements:
- Attain 2.0 or higher Grade Point Average (GPA).
- Complete an associate degree.
- Enroll and register for 6 credits at Charter Oak State College within 12 months of completing Associate degree.*
* Beginning with graduates from the Fall 2021 December Graduation, ALL eligible students from any Connecticut Community College, with an Associate degree and regardless of academic degree program, will now have up to one (1) year from the official graduation date for their campus as indicated on the college transcript, to enter Charter Oak State College and begin classes.
The tuition scholarship is good for five years. In order to maintain the scholarship, the student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 Charter Oak credits in the fall and spring semesters. This would allow the student to graduate in five years, if attending part time. Students can take more courses at the reduced rate and thus graduate earlier.
Eligible students should apply for Federal Pell Grants to help cover the costs of their college expenses; students will be responsible for books, technology fee, and any other course related expenses. Students will have to meet Charter Oak State College’s degree requirements for the bachelor’s degree as noted in the Official Catalog.
