Request Your Official Transcripts
Transcripts must be sent directly from your high school, college, university, or testing organization to Charter Oak.
Review Your Credit Evaluation
Once your preliminary Credit Evaluation (advising worksheet) is complete, your Admissions Counselor will review it with you. You'll see which credits/credentials transferred, the courses you need to take and have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Enroll
Select your preferred start date and confirm your intent to enroll by submitting your enrollment form and paying your enrollment deposit in the MyCharterOak Student portal.
Sending Official Transcripts
- Official transcripts may be sent via sealed envelope, secure electronic transcript service, or direct school email for high school transcripts only.
- Please check with your previous institution to confirm how they send official transcripts.
Please have your official transcripts sent directly to Charter Oak from each issuing institution or testing organization. Many schools use secure transcript delivery services such as Parchment and National Student Clearinghouse.
If you are unsure how your previous school sends transcripts, contact that institution directly before placing your request.
What happens after your evaluation?
After your admissions counselor reviews your advising worksheet with you, you can submit your enrollment form and choose the start date that works best for your schedule.

COSC Charter Oak can only will confirm how credits will transfer after you complete the admissions process. We recommend waiting to take courses or exams until you have enrolled at Charter Oak and discussed your options with your academic advisor to ensure they align with your degree plan.
We accept up to 87 transfer credits from a two-year accredited institution and up to 114 credits from a four-year accredited institution. Please note that some programs may require students to take certain courses at the college, limiting the transferability of those courses.
Yes, we accept credentials from non-U.S. colleges that have been evaluated by a recognized agency prior to review at Charter Oak. The College recognizes any NACES approved member, including the following: Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) and World Education Services (WES).
