Dr. George G. Moker Endowed Scholarship

 

A 1989 Charter Oak Graduate, George Moker received his CPA license in Connecticut in 1993, George then completed his MBA from Suffolk University, and his Doctor of Education (with a concentration in creativity and innovation), from Drexel University in 2019. 

Dr. Moker’s intent in creating this scholarship program is to help others believe they can achieve success with a college degree as a catalyst to future opportunities. He is honoring his alma mater with the creation of this scholarship as he also memorializes his career and success.

The scholarship is intended to give financial assistance to Charter Oak students striving to complete their degree in a business program.

To be considered, please include in your essay any prior business or future business objectives as well as describe the journey (and obstacles overcome) to “their” college degree completion goal. 

Criteria also requires,

1) Charter Oak State College (matriculated) student(s) 
2) Pursuing a Business Administrative undergraduate degree, or a degree with a small business or entrepreneurial concentration. 
3) Have a minimum GPA of 2.8%.
Additionally,first-generation College students are encouraged to apply.
