Honoring a Father and his Legacy of Service, Generosity, and Education
The Ram Lal Seekri Endowed Scholarship was established by Professor Raj P. Seekri and Mrs. Raj K. Seekri to honor the life and legacy of Professor Seekri's father, Ram Lal Seekri, a respected community leader, counselor, and advocate for education whose influence touched lives in both India and the United States.
Ram Lal Seekri was known for his generosity, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to helping others. While raising his family in India, he served as a trusted advisor and community leader. His belief in the transformative power of education was exceptional for his time and community. After immigrating to the United States, he continued his service to others, particularly within immigrant communities.
Through this endowed scholarship, the Seekri family hopes to inspire future generations of students who embody the same values that defined Ram Lal Seekri's life:

As Professor Raj P. and Mrs. Raj K. Seekri shared:

Scholarship Eligibility
The Ram Lal Seekri Endowed Scholarship supports students who:
- Are matriculated at Charter Oak State College
- Are pursuing a bachelor's degree
- Demonstrate generosity, service to others, and a commitment to education
- Describe the financial barriers or obstacles they have overcome or continue to navigate in pursuit of their degree
The Legacy
Established in 2025 through an initial $10,000 gift from Professor Raj P. and Mrs. Raj K. Seekri, the Ram Lal Seekri Endowed Scholarship will provide support to future Charter Oak students whose lives and aspirations reflect the enduring values of service, generosity, and educational opportunity.
