HCA 101 - Healthcare Systems and Administration: 3 credits, lower division level
This course provides the broad introduction to health care systems and organizations, including management skills, trends, public policy and global healthcare issues.

HIM 200 - Health Information Systems: 3 credits, lower division level
This course focuses on the use of electronic information systems in healthcare. The integration of administrative, clinical and technical management is promoted with computer technology including decision support systems and health information standards.

HIM 300 - Medical Vocabularies and Classification Systems: 3 credits, upper division level
This course covers the common terminologies and vocabularies used in healthcare and public health and healthcare management.

HIM 410 - Healthcare Database Design and Development: 3 credits, upper division level
This course integrates health information functions with database concepts and management. Covering data definition modeling and definitions, the content includes data access, design and implementation in the relational model context.

HIM 420 - Healthcare Research and Quality: 3 credits, upper division level
In this course, the topics of healthcare research and quality management are explored. The theory, practice, and management of performance, quality and risk management improvement processes, directed to the healthcare culture, are addressed.

ITE 102 - Introduction to Computer Science: 3 credits, lower division level
This course provides students with the introductory fundamentals of computer hardware and software; the internet; the terminology of computing; and system development.
