EGR 410 - Boundary Law (3 credits)
This course will focus on the legal responsibilities of the land surveyor in regard to determining property boundary location. Topics include the role of evidence, the legal principles of boundary creation and retracement, and the understanding and writing of boundary descriptions. The professional and ethical responsibilities of the surveyor and his or her legal liability will be covered. Connecticut specific topics will be covered in the final two weeks. Prerequisite(s): ENG 101, ENG 102, three years of progressively responsible survey field work, and one year of responsible office survey experience. Students must contact the Instructor of the course prior to registration to obtain permission to register.
EGR 499 - Engineering Studies Capstone (3 credits)
This is the capstone course for the Engineering Studies concentration and should be taken in the student's last semester. The student can have no more than 6 credits remaining in their concentration to complete in their degree program prior to enrolling in this course. The goal of the course is for the student to integrate the knowledge gained in the Engineering Studies concentration courses. The course must be taken at Charter Oak State College. Prerequisite(s): ENG 101, ENG 102.
