The Office of Financial Aid at Charter Oak State College would like to remind you that the FAFSA for the 2015-2016 academic year is now available. To begin your application, Start a New FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov.
You can complete the FAFSA even if you have not filed your 2014 income tax return yet. Simply use estimated 2014 tax information (e.g., last pay stub on the year, 2014 W-2's or 1099 Forms).
Once your 2014 taxes are filed with the IRS, all you need to do is return to the FAFSA web site and correct your estimated information with actual data by using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool. See the IRS Data Retrieval Tool eligibility information.
