About the Training Sponsor
New Haven Job Corps Center provides vocational and academic skills training to young people ages 16-24. New Haven Job Corps mission is to "identify and challenge the abilities of all members of our campus community in order to positively impact their success."

Nursing Assistant Certification (4 credits, lower division level)
This course is designed to provide the student with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to function as a certified nursing assistant. Basic human needs, the effects of aging and hospitalization on these needs and selected conditions which threaten these needs are examined. Selected nursing skills to meet basic human needs are performed, with the opportunity for students to practice these skills in both a college skills laboratory and a clinical setting. CNA students must receive a grade of 75 to pass the program.
